IELTS GENERAL COURSE / FROM 7.0 – 8.0

Part 1: Purpose of the course

• IELTS test is never easy even for those who are good at English. It has never been a difficult thing, impossible for anyone to do when learning English. The most important thing is still diligence and dedication to accomplish that goal. IELTS band 8.0 is a combination of a solid knowledge base and relentless efforts that pay off.

Part 2: Content of the course

• The final stage of the learning and exam preparation process will focus more deeply on the two most difficult skills to do and the most difficult to score out of all four skills, namely Speaking and Writing. With Reading and Listening skills, fully review all types of questions or requirements that will appear in the actual IELTS test. The students will be guided in detail by the instructors on how to do the test and detect errors through each Listening section. In Reading, teachers will focus on the most difficult question types (such as True/False/Not Given, Matching Headings, Locating Information) to help students not lose points in these sections.
• Listening and Reading: There are many types of test questions for students to practice at home. After that, the teacher or teaching assistant will answer before each class. In addition, weekly teachers regularly update and supplement training materials for all 4 skills of listening - speaking - reading - writing and important vocabulary suitable for band 8.0.
• Writing: With a specially designed curriculum, the faculty will guide students to write 11 complete essay types including six types of Task 1 assignments (line chart, column chart, pie chart, table, process, etc.) map) and five types of Task 2 (state an opinion, discuss, advantages/disadvantages, provide solutions). Students are taught about vocabulary, grammar, linking words, sentence structure, how to find features or trends that the IELTS Examiner often appreciates. At the same time, they are taught how to use complex grammar, skills and knowledge to solve difficult problems in Task 2. The teacher will be the one to directly mark the test.
• Speaking: This is the most practiced skill in this period. Students can significantly increase their confidence and fluency when answering the examiner's questions. The course syllabus covers all 3 parts of the test: common topics as well as rare topics. The lecturer helped analyze each common form, how to answer to achieve a Speaking score of 8.0. For each section, students learn techniques to combine academic language with the most natural response idea. At the same time, students learn how to identify the question and answer accordingly. In each Speaking session, the instructor will help students develop clear intonation and pronunciation. At the end of the course, students will take two mock tests with their own teachers. And get comments from the teacher so that you can have a reasonable next review plan.
