COURSE CLASS OF CULTURE COURSE IN KOREA

The Korean Community Cultural Association Classroom helps learners understand, orient, and clearly classify Korea's unique cultural features.

Korean lifestyle

Similar to Vietnamese culture in the past in Korea, the eldest son assumed the main responsibility in the family, the male importance is the common psychology of the Korean people. But in order to address issues related to men and women, the Korean government has revised most of the documents related to family relations to ensure fairness between men and women regarding inheritance rights.

In normal communication, Koreans greet each other by bowing slightly to the vertical axis and nodding slightly in a manner similar to Japanese greetings. This type of greeting is often used with someone of the same class, friend or acquaintance.

Traditional Korean clothes - Hanbok

Entering Korea, you can not help but learn about their traditional costumes. - Hanbok (한복) is a traditional Korean costume and becomes a unique feature of this country. This outfit has a colorful color, simple lines and no pockets. Although its name is Han Couture, Hanbok refers only to the Joseon Dynasty outfit and is worn as the official outfit in traditional festivals. Today's hanboks are not exactly tailored to the style of the Joseon Dynasty, but there have been some changes to suit modern life.

- However, in Korean history, there are two Korean costumes. The aristocracy used a different type of clothing made in Chinese style. Meanwhile, people often wear the native outfit today known as Hanbok.

Eating in Korea

Korean restaurants will often have separate dining tables and chairs, although separate dining rooms are always designed for customers. Koreans rarely use chairs to eat, they often sit on the floor and they often use spoons to eat rice, to eat noodles and other food, the right hand always used to hold spoons and chopsticks to eat food. Surprised when you see Koreans blowing their noses in food all the time.

The rules you should keep in mind

- Never write Korean names in red ink if you do that they will implicitly assume that you curse the person to die. Do not do this anywhere in Korea you will encounter many disasters.

- When eating Absolutely do not put chopsticks into the food. Spoons inserted into the rice bowl are considered ominous, like the image of a Korean grandparents meal.

- Do not bring up the soup to drink gulp! Eating rice with a spoon is considered cultural.

- Going to a party, depending on the restaurant, you should remove your shoes or not.

- When visiting Korean homes, always remove shoes to leave the door.

- Koreans always actively pay for money when they are invited to eat, usually pay off for the whole group. However, the next time anyone invited, it was his turn to pay for the whole group.

The taboo of the Korean people

- Korea is very taboo with number 4 because in Korean, pronouncing number 4 is like dead word, so in the elevator, instead of putting it on the 4th floor, they put the letter F (four) like the number 13 in the West

- When living in Korea, you should be aware when pouring alcohol to avoid touching the top of the glass

- When pouring wine, do not let the bottle touch the mouth of the glass because this action is similar to offering wine to the dead. - Do not use your left hand in communication, which is considered an insult to the recipient. Use two hands to receive or give something to others, especially seniors.

- Very few Korean women talk about their plastic surgery experience, although surgery is quite common in Korea

- Blowing the nose next to the table is forbidden. We have to go out or go to the toilet to do.

And many cultural traits need to be noted and remembered. MIS EDUCATION will arrange the Cultural elements according to their importance, the level of attention, and have the best effective method for students to remember and learn.
