ANALYSIS COURSE FOR STORAGE SEEDS

Time and storage methods affect the ability of seeds to germinate. 3. Preserving Seeds:

After harvesting the seeds must be dried immediately. If during the harvesting time, there is prolonged rain, it cannot be dried, it must be dried immediately. When drying, it needs to be stirred evenly, the temperature for drying is from 35 - 40 degrees Celsius, it should not be heated too easily, it will lose its germination ability.

Well-preserved vegetable seeds must meet a number of requirements: high purity, high germination rate, strong germination capacity, weighing 1,000 prescribed seeds, capable of retaining germination power for long.

4. Requirements when preserving Seeds:

+ Sealed: Preserving tools must have lid carefully.

+ Dry: Seeds are dried, ensuring a moisture content of 7-9% depending on each type, cleaned before storage, stored in a high, dry place so that the seed does not desiccate, retains germination power .

+ Cool: Storage temperature should ensure the temperature from 20 - 22 degrees C. High temperature makes particles respire strongly affect later quality.
