COURSE INFORMATION

After completing the Welder course at MISSKILLJOB, students will be provided the knowledge of:

• Operating and using welding equipment
• Knowing the structure, operating principle and repairing some minor damages of veer, one-way electric welding machine
• Processing details and welding of welds in flat position
• Correctly manipulate the technical process and evaluate the product quality
• Application of safety measures in metal arc welding and machining operations.
• Selecting and using measuring instruments, hands and suitable electric for metal arc processing and welding operations.
• Performing necessary mathematical calculations for metal arc processing and welding operations.
• Explaining  technical drawings to select, cut and form metal shapes for manufacturing and performing of welding procedures required by welding symbols.
• Explaining applications, procedures and the basic principles of welding processes including copper welding, metal arc welding, etc.
• Identify errors in welding and manufacturing and take corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Perform welding to meet the quality requirements of CSA W59.03 Structural Welding Standard by using arc welding metals (SMAW), metal arc welding (GMAW), frame arc welding ( FCAW) and Tungsten gas arc welding processes at all welding positions.
• Select, set and perform heat cutting process on metal by using Oxy – cutting Fuel, Plasma cutting and Plasma Arc Gouging process.
• Explain the application of testing methods used to evaluate the quality of welding structures and apply visual inspection techniques to evaluate welding quality.
• Determine the type of metal and the classification system and explain the proper welding technique to adapt to the characteristics of welding ability of different metals.
• Select and use metal cutting machines and equipment to make basic components and structures.
• Explain the required welding procedure documents according to the codes and standards and explain the standard requirements for both welding personnel and welding processes.
