Types of bridging visas
You can legally stay in Australia while you complete your immigration or arrange to leave Australia.
There are two types of BVE:

Work in Australia while you have a BVE
Your letter will let you know if you are authorized to work. If you work without your permission, we can cancel your BVE and detain you. You may also be removed from Australia.
If you are not authorized to work, there are only a few situations in which you can apply for a new BVE that allows you to work. For example, you may have financial difficulty if you cannot afford to cover your living expenses.
