Avocado Pickers
Brooklet Farms–Childers QLD
Casual/Temporary
$24.80/hr + Super
Immediate Start
We are a family-owned and operated avocado farm 10 mins from Childers in Queensland. We are looking for ground and orchard ladder pickers as well as cherry picker operators.
Role Responsibilities include:
- Picking Avocados
- Working on-farm, outside with high humidity and warm temperatures
- Standing or walking for 8 hours per shift, with breaks
- Working at heights
- Mostly Monday to Friday (7am-3:30pm)
Successful candidates must:
- Have access to reliable transport to and from the work site
- Be physically fit with the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Be able to work in a warm and humid environment
- Have an understanding of basic English (written and spoken)
- Work cooperatively and respectfully in a multicultural workforce
- Be able to follow instructions and follow all safety and operational instructions
- Currently 2 weeks work available for immediate start – some pruning and other picking work available until July
