Full time
A mixed family farming property in the Murray Mallee 65kms East of Tailem Bend is currently seeking a Farmhand. Experience in broad acre farming is required along with being able to:
- Operate seeding, harvest, hay and spraying machinery
- Assist in a variety of farming duties including but not limited to sheep handling, truck driving, fencing, repairs and maintenance.
The ideal applicant will also be:
- Willing to improve on current skills with a willingness to learn
- Flexible in line with the seasonal nature of farming and the additional hours and days required during periods of high intensity e.g. harvest and seeding
- Adept in working independently and also as part of a team
- Someone who enjoys rural living and farming
Those from a farming background keen to develop their skills that may not have all requirements are still encouraged to apply as these applications will also be considered.
Applicants must have a current drivers license and be willing to undertake a Police Clearance
An attractive package including accommodation to be negotiated after a successful interview.
Location also has advantages being only 1hr 45 min from Adelaide and within an hour of the regional centre of Murray Bridge.
