Farm Machinery Operator
We are a strawberry farm based near the beautiful Glass House Mountains on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, 30 Minutes to the beach and 50kms North of Brisbane. With over 400 acres across 2 sites, we require a farm machinery / forklift operator to join our team on a permanent basis.
We're looking for someone who is a hard worker, a team player and is willing to learn. We will invest in the right person for the position and farm. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing the ground for the strawberry plants
- Laying of plastic & plastic removal
- Movement of strawberries
- Installation, monitoring and removal of irrigation
- Maintaining dirt roads throughout the farm
NO DROUGHT CONDITIONS OR RISK DUE TO COAST LOCATION.
Essential requirements:
- Must have a high- risk Forklift Ticket
- A hard- working ethic
- Positive attitude with attention to detail
- Good communication skills
Desirable (not essential requirements):
- Spray Tractor Experience
- HC Drivers Licence
- Tractor Operating Machinery experience - Water Trucks, Tip Trucks, Rollers, Refrigerated Trailers
- Earthmoving Machinery experience - Excavators / Bob Cat Rollers Grader
The Sunray Group has various sites across other states of Australia and there is room for progression and promotion for ambitious candidates in this forward thinking Farming operation.
Our busy and hardworking team are looking for the right candidate to suit our established business.
This role has varied hours and at times are long hours due to the work being affected by weather. The days vary and do not operate a Monday to Friday working cycle.
