Position: Farm Supervisors – 3 & Farm Worker - 6
Full-time, year-round work
Supervisor - Salary: $21.94/hr. for Worker - 40 hrs. per week.

Job requirements:
- Languages: English
- Education: Completion of High School
- Experience: Minimum 1-year experience as farm worker is required
Job Description:
- Check and monitor for pests such as worms, moths, caterpillars, snails, and slugs.
- Watch for poorly drained areas in the field
- Check and monitor for soil moisture.
- Sample berries and other crops from each field to assess fruit rot levels
- Monitor for weeds and control as needed
- Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers
- Supervise the growing and harvesting operations of the fruits
- Make work schedules for the farm workers
- Report quantity of the fruits harvested by weight
- Train general farm workers on farm duties
Skills requirement:
- Heavy lifting required.
- Ability to work long hours, early mornings and weekends if required.
- Ability to work outdoors in ALL weather conditions.
Worker:
Specific Skills:
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Feed and tend animals
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Milk cowsDetect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
- Examine produce for quality and prepare for market
- Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
- Write daily basic progress reports
- Monitoring animal health
Work Site Environment: OutdoorsWet/damp, Odours
Transportation/Travel Information: Travel expenses: paid by employer
