Position: General Farm Worker
- Vacancies:4Wage Rate:$15.20 per hour cdn (over time paid after 40 hours per week) Work hours per week:37.50 to 40 hours per week (Possibility of over-time)
Job requirements:
- Education: No
- Experience: No; basic training will be provided.
- Language: No specific language requirement.
- Knowledge in planting, fertilization, and irrigation of plants/crops.
- Should know how to sort and pack crops - basic knowledge.
- Should have the ability to work outside in sun, rain, shine and in muddy conditions.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time - As soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, irrigate and harvest crops.
- Clean farm machinery and equipment if required.
- Detect disease/problems in crops with manager's supervision.
- Examine produce for quality and prepare for shipment.
- Follow all the safety standards.
- Report to and follow directions of a farm supervisor
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, rain/ shine, hot/cold weather (Candidate should be physically able and willing to work on the farm in rain/sun or shine
