Interior Roofing Position: LABOURER - ROOFING AND SHEET METAL
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Site Forman
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand and communicate information
- Climb and descend 40-foot extension ladder unassisted
- Work at heights of more than 10 feet
- Repeatedly lift and carry materials over 50 lbs
- Work in a variety of physical positions – stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling
- Work in areas that are uncomfortable due to extreme temperature, noise levels or other conditions - Stand for more than two (2) hours at a time
- Perform basic math functions using weight measurement, volume and distance - Follow written or verbal instructions and safety rules
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist skilled roofers installing and repairing roofs, flashings, and surfaces
- Follow instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved on site
- Load and unload materials from delivery and work trucks
- Clean and prepare job sites
- Set up and take down ladders and scaffolding
- Remove old roofing material and clear debris from roof
- Clear out gutters and drains
- Maintain trucks, tools and equipment
- Work to be performed either on roofing or metal crews
