Position: TCP / Construction Labourer
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that public (pedestrian or vehicle) traffic is safe from construction activities around the site.
- Ensure that all disruptions to traffic (pedestrian or vehicle) are properly permitted, planned, and controlled.
- Ensure the proper, approved traffic control plans are in place and accessible at all times.
- Ensure proper traffic control personnel, signage, and equipment are always in place on the roadways.
- Help coordinate the loading or unloading of materials from delivery trucks and equipment
- Keep the road and sidewalks clean, clear of materials and debris, and safe for use
- Manage public safety as it relates to vehicles and pedestrians within our work zones
- Communicate with other work crews (Municipal, Services, Event) to ensure zones are not disrupted
- Coordinate with Crane operator/s for safe lifts over public areas and to ensure trucks positioned properly
- Act as a public liaison ensuring you are a friendly and courteous Ventana representative. • Keep the delivery areas clean and organized. - Site clean up.
- Moving materials, requiring you to occasionally lift objects up to 55lb.
- Occasional heavy labour, including shovelling, concrete chipping and material loading.
- Basic Carpentry task.
- Use of basic hand and power tools.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold a Valid British Columbia TCP ticket.
- Must supply your own work Boots!
- Construction experience an asset.
- History working for General Contractor an asset.
- History of teamwork an asset.
- TCP experience an asset.
- High School Diploma an asset.
